Quality Assurance Lead

The Opportunity

We are looking for a QA Lead to join our dynamic software development team in Richmond, BC. You will be integrated in our software development team designing and implementing test plans, building quality assurance and quality control processes and removing bugs from the software. We have an open communication ambience, where each team member must be able to work both independently and as part of the group, have a sense of responsibility, and be flexible.

Responsibilities

Setting up and executing manual and automated tests
Gathering, analyzing and managing the test data
Identifying the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test
Implementing individual tests
Logging outcomes and verifying test execution
Ensuring that the user tests comply with the established standards and practices
Producing test outcomes reports
Carrying out debugging functions in close collaboration with the rest of software development team
Managing the efforts of other testers

Requirements

IT degree or equivalent and 2-3 years of previous testing experience preferred
Knowledge of testing methodologies
Experience with development and implementation of systematic test plans: scheduling, test deliverables, release criteria, risk and contingency, scenario development
Proven ability programming scripts to test the functions of specific software systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and manage testing activities
Understanding of test automation methodologies and testing tools
Intermediate debugging skills
Ability and willingness to learn subject matter quickly
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work individually and as a team member
Knowledge of programming is an asset
